Man's Playground is the very first creation in TBB series. It looks to dissect the over sexualization of the black female form.
The normalcy of the unauthorized visual consumption of the black female body is challenged as the audience is pushed to look beyond the physical and dive into the messages of the soul.

M.P. recieved funding from Exploring the Metropolis Choreographer + Composer residency and Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning.

The Beginning Seeds

Man's Playground originally began as a performance study playing with the movement patterns of traffic controllers and jay walking. Through various layering processes it very quickly mutated into a work dissecting the concepts of consent and the act of stopping and going by non-verbal cues and directive commands.
