BLACK IS HOLY: A WORD is an immersive installation and 30-minute multidisciplinary performative meditation birthed at the crossroads of spirituality and sensuality. Migrating the audience through jazz-infused realms rich with ancestral choreographies and sermonic storytelling, B.I.H. acts as a divine medium converging the past and the present. Carefully drawing on embodied practices within the Hoodoo spiritual system, B.I.H. submerges viewers into a Black cultural landscape where the sacred and secular collide.
